Information about this event has been circulating for quite awhile, but I wanted to wait to announce it when it was a little closer so it would be fresher in peoples’ minds. The 10-year anniversary Benefit of the original Broadway production of Rent is scheduled to take place on April 24, 2006, and all of the OBC (original cast), including Idina, are planning to take part in the celebration! Tickets are extremely expensive to buy (beginning at $1000, and going up to $25,000!), but for those in the area, a limited number of front row “lotto” tickets for $20 are available on the morning of the show. It will take place at the theatre that has housed the show for the past 10 years on Broadway, the Nederlander. Read more about the event at Playbill.com.

Hey folks — Once again, there are some issues with the downloads (audio and video). I need to go through and replace all of them with direct links (I have already done the Television Videos Page, so those links work, as do the ones in the Streaming Video and Music Video Pages.) All the other pages I will do, hopefully, this weekend. It’s been a busy couple weeks, I’m in the middle of mid-terms. So sorry for the inconvenience, everyone! Just a small update today: Thanks to Chelly, I’ve added 13 High Quality images of Idina at the Hollywood Meets Motown gala last week! They are simply gorgeous and totally MASSIVE! Enjoy! There should be more on the way, hopefully in the next couple of days, so be sure to check the album in the future to see more HQ pictures.

For those you don’t remember, tonight was the Hollywood Meets Motown Benefit concert in NYC, put on by “Today Show” host, Katie Couric, and Idina was scheduled to attend the event! She did, and some beautiful/fun photos have already surfaced, so I thought I’d announce them for those who’d like to see. I’ve added 20 pictures to the Gallery, and there are more to come as soon as I get ahold of them. — ALSO, I have added a LOT of random HQ images to different galleries, so to see newly added pics, please click here.

With that, I have added the “Weekend Today” video (thanks to Carly, again!), which Idina appeared on yesterday alongside Salma Hayek. That can be found at the bottom of the Television Videos Page.

Idina gave an interview with UGO.com about her role in Ask the Dust, and she spoke about her upcoming role in Enchanted with Amy Adams – she cleared up quite a bit about her characters role in the film (warning: may include spoilers):

“At the end of April I’m doing this movie called Enchanted with Amy Adams. It’s a big Disney movie. It starts with eight minutes of animation, where Amy is this princess and James Marsden is the prince. Susan Sarandon, who’s the stepmother/queen, doesn’t want her marrying James Marsden, so she pushes her down this well and she ends up in Times Square and it becomes real life. There she learns about real life and she meets Patrick Dempsey, who’s this single Dad who’s engaged to me. I’m this New York fashion designer who ends up going to the fairytale world. I ended up getting fitted with the glass slipper and walk back to the animated world while she stays here and becomes much more grounded and realizes life is tough but that’s true love. In the animated world I’m with James Marsden and I sing a little song with him, written by Steven Schwartz, who wrote Wicked. Then I throw my Blackberry away at the ceremony because we’re cartoon characters.” (Click here to read the rest of the interview)

So I’m dumb and messed up taping “Regis & Kelly” this morning, but THANKFULLY I’ll be getting it later today. In the meantime, I HAVE uploaded Idina’s appearance on “MTV Hits” from earlier to the Television Videos Page! They were both fantastic interviews, lots of fun questions and promo stuff I promise “Regis & Kelly” will be up by tonight – So please enjoy! You may also notice after downloading the video that I’ve tagged it to credit this site. I understand the videos get around (particularly on sites like YouTube) and while there’s nothing I can do about it, I still feel this site should be credited for taking the time to upload them. But don’t worry! The tag doesn’t obstruct seeing the beautiful Idina! — I’ve also gotten word that Idina’s appearance on “Weekend Today” has been MOVED to Saturday morning! That’s when they have her listed to appear. I’ll be sure to tape it, just in case.
