Just announced on IdinaMenzelNews twitter, Idina has added two more concerts to her symphony tour!  First will be a benefit: Musical Moments for MS with the New Jersey Symphony on June 2nd.  Tickets are already on sale here.  The second new concert will be at the Red Rocks Amphitheater with the Colorado Symphony on July 17th.  Presale information will be available at a later date.

Today, Idina and Taye’s new foundation’s website was officially launched!  From “A BroaderWay” website:

A BroaderWay Foundation was established in 2010 by Idina Menzel and Taye Diggs as a means of supporting young people in the arts. A BroaderWay sponsors camp programs, theater workshops, innovative educational programming and offers scholarships and opportunities to experience professional performances.

This foundation is something that really means a lot to Idina.  Please consider donating in any form that you can.  A list of ways to donate can be found on the website: www.abroaderway.org

Today, Idina was presented with a Matrix Award by the New York Women in Communications, Inc., which honors “the extraordinary achievements of outstanding women in the communications industry.”  The entire awards presentation can be viewed here. Back by popular demand, Idina will be returning to Cincinnati!  She opened last Pops season with an amazing 3-show weekend event and now she’ll be opening the 2011 Summer Riverbend Series on June 25th.  Tickets go on sale April 11th. First, let me just say — Wow! Idina really has the best fans! Thank you to everyone who responded to my tweet last night for web design help! I’m so glad that I can count on others to continue to make this the best fansite possible! A new feature for the site is currently in the works and will hopefully be up and running in the coming weeks. Stay tuned!

In other news, Idina has added another show! She will be performing in La Jolla, California at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies on August 27th. This is a benefit, so ticket prices could be steep. No on-sale information is available yet.  A link to the website can be found in the sidebar.

Finally, Idina was spotted in last week’s Star magazine on the “Best of the Week” fashion page for her stunning red outfit she wore to the Alzheimer’s Association benefit last week!
