Idina Attends MPTF Charity Function

Idina Menzel attended the Motion Picture & Television Fund’s fifth annual “Reel Stories, Real Lives” charity event in Hollywood on Thursday. The MPTF’s mission is to “support the entertainment community in living and aging well, with dignity and purpose, and in helping each other in times of need.”

Idina read a true story, “Tony & Madi,” about two industry retirees who met while living at MPTF’s retirement community. They got married, at the ages of 88 and 75, and continue to write and create. Here are some photos:

Idina’s NYC Frozen Sing Along!

Calling all Disney FROZEN Fans! Idina Menzel, Bobby Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez are reuniting to throw an amazing family party and sing-along – all while doing good! Sing Along to all your favorite Frozen songs with the original Elsa and the writers of FROZEN on April 17 in NYC. Lunch, party games, indoor snow area, DJ, photo booth and lots of fun surprises will make this a special experience.

Proceeds will benefit Idina’s Camp BroaderWay, which empowers inner city girls through arts education. You may recall that Idina recently paired up with Kristen Bell and Josh Gad in L.A. for a similar benefit, which received rave reviews!

Idina Menzel Performs at Easter Egg Roll

Idina Menzel participated in the White House’s Easter Egg Roll earlier today! Idina sang the National Anthem at the White House and then performed a few songs in a short concert on the White House lawn later on in the day. You can watch her stellar National Anthem performance above. Idina later performed Defying Gravity, Tomorrow, and Let It Go and you can watch those here:

Idina Joins Tribeca Film Festival

Idina Menzel will be taking part in the Tribeca Film Festival’s new Storytellers series! The event, called Tribeca Talks: Storytellers, features pioneering creators who work across mediums to tell their stories. Idina has, of course, trail blazed a career in film, television and theater and showcased her abilities as a songwriter.

Idina’s event will take place on Monday, April 18 at 4 PM. Tickets to the event are $40 and go on sale March 29. Get tickets and details here.
