PROUD MOUSE is out now!!

Idina Menzel and Cara Mentzel’s new children’s book, PROUD MOUSE, is out now! The book is a companion piece to their first children’s book, LOUD MOUSE. The duo stopped by Good Morning America yesterday morning to chat about the book, which focuses on Cara’s character, Cara Lee.

Cara Lee is a proud mouse. She is proud of her big sister Dee. She is proud of her specially decorated journal. And now she’s proud to become what she’s always wanted to be: a student. But her first day of school is different than she imagined. Everyone keeps comparing her to Dee. But who is Cara Lee? When you have a big sister with such a LOUD talent, how can you find room to shine in your own way?

Complete with gorgeous illustrations and filled with humor and heart, Proud Mouse is a clever tale about celebrating the things that make you YOU and having the confidence to stand loud and proud.

YOU ARE SO NOT INVITED TO MY BAT MITZVAH Streaming Now!

Idina Menzel’s newest movie, You Are So Not Invited To My Bat Mitzvah, is streaming now on Netflix! If you missed it a few weeks ago, you can watch a clip and the official trailer here.

BFFs Stacy and Lydia are both planning epic bat mitzvahs. But it all unravels when a popular boy — and middle school drama — threaten to ruin everything.

Unfortunately, due to the SAG-AFTRA strike, Idina and the other actors can’t promote the movie. However, the director, Sammi Cohen, told A.frame:

[Adam] Sandler loved working with [Idina] on Uncut Gems. In talking about the Friedmans, she was a natural fit. Again, he feels like this sweet, goofy, Jewish dad we all want, know, and love. And she’s talented — we knew she would do great with the part — but there’s also this sense of this sweet, warm, Jewish mom. And authentic casting was important to us, and she really just fit as part of the family. It was organic, and as soon as he brought it up, I was like, ‘Oh yeah, that totally makes sense!’ So, this is the happy side to their Uncut Gems marriage.
