Thanks to Idina Menzel, kids all around the world know all the words “Let it go” from the Frozen movie.<\/p>\n

But the singer is also an accomplished actress who plans on stopping by Colorado twice this year.<\/p>\n

First, she’ll play Red Rocks and August 11.<\/p>\n

“It’s a magnificent place to play and I can’t wait to get back there,” Menzel told 9NEWS. “It’s important to me to really feel like I connect with everyone and even at Red Rocks this year – there’s still an intimacy about it and we can still have a real connection.”<\/p>\n

During her downtime, she’ll have a chance to spend time with family.<\/p>\n

“My mom and my sister [have lived] in Boulder for many, many years so the whole thing is perfect,” she said. “We go on some nice hikes – were not big on skiing – I mostly spend time with my mom and sister having girls time – even if that’s just staying in and watching some movies.”<\/p>\n

Then in October, she’ll be in Denver, starring in the musical If\/Then.<\/p>\n

“I’m a creature of live performance and live theater and doing it every night of the week,”she said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
