Idina Menzel is revealing if her character finds love with a female in the new sequel.<\/h3>\n<p>In Disney\u2019s smash<em> Frozen<\/em>, heroine Elsa\u2019s life didn\u2019t revolve around a man or finding a handsome prince. It was all about sisterhood and there was some chatter that Elsa might come out as gay in <em>Frozen 2<\/em>. <strong>Idina Menzel<\/strong>, who voices Elsa, reveals whether or not she\u2019ll find romance with a woman in the new sequel. She and co-star <strong>Kristen Bell<\/strong> appeared on SiriusXM on Nov. 14 to discuss the topic and <strong>SPOILER ALERT<\/strong>, reveals who Elsa finds love with.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think that that\u2019s not what they\u2019re focusing on (Elsa possibly being gay), that Elsa\u2019s never been focused on romantic love in her life. She\u2019s just always on this search for who she is as a person and her finding this love for herself. The whole movie in fact we concentrate on this unconditional love between sisters and family and that\u2019s what we\u2019re so proud of that it\u2019s not based on that (romantic love),\u201d Idina, 48, revealed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo to go to that place\u2026it\u2019s not to say they won\u2019t or that it will never happen or that you\u2019re not seeing some undercurrent of something\u2026she\u2019s just really not in that place right now. She\u2019s trying to figure out who she\u2019s meant to be in the world and what she can share with the world and how to do it with these incredible powers that she has. And that\u2019s not an answer to try to escape from it. It\u2019s not there yet,\u201d she continued.<\/p>\n<p>Kristen, 39, had her own thoughts on the subject of whether or not Elsa could be gay. \u201cI also think there\u2019s something so beautiful about it. I took the same undercurrents of the movie and I had to remind myself \u2018Oh, you know what a more important thing is? It\u2019s none of my business.\u2019 I mean it\u2019s great to see representation, always, and people need that,\u201d she revealed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut perhaps a more important message is to this broader audience is \u2018Oh you don\u2019t need to worry about who Elsa\u2019s going to choose, cause that\u2019s up to her.\u2019 And if she\u2019s not there yet, you literally don\u2019t need to think about it. It doesn\u2019t affect you. I think that I liked the way that they handled it cause they gave options. There\u2019s also another guy character so Elsa can choose whatever she wants to choose. The better, broader message is that\u2019s not our concern, that Elsa\u2019s choice and she\u2019ll make it when she\u2019s ready.
