How amazing was Idina on Glee last night? SO amazing! Seth Rudetsky would say she was amahhhhzing. She finally got her time in the solo spotlight, singing a wonderfully poignant rendition of “Funny Girl,” and showed off her acting chops in emotional scenes with costar Lea Michele. Their “Poker Face” duet was fun and had a surprising emotional streak to it. Both tracks are available on iTunes – click their hyperlinked titles above to purchase and help Idina climb the iTunes singles charts for the second week in a row!

Idina returned to Glee as Vocal Adrenaline coach Shelby Corcoran last night, and the big, shocking, astounding, completely inconceivable reveal happened! But I don’t want to spoil it for those who have yet to see it, so here are the bullet points for “Dream On:”

Idina trended once again on Twitter, defying their funky new algorithm. She actually hit the trends two different occasions, nationwide during the east coast broadcast and worldwide during the west coast’s!

Volume 3 of the Glee soundtrack series is now available on iTunes, including Idina’s duets with Lea Michele on last night’s “I Dreamed a Dream” and next week’s “Poker Face.” “I Dreamed a Dream” is presently the #8 iTunes single in the US, marking Idina’s first iTunes Top 10 song. If you haven’t already, head to iTunes to purchase it today to bump her higher. Similarly, if you want to help her chart even higher next week, wait until Tuesday or Wednesday to purchase “Poker Face” to join and boost the masses that will be buying the track after hearing it on Glee. Nothing wrong with a bit of strategery!

Tomorrow, May 18, marks Idina’s return to Glee! Make sure to set your TiVos and tune in! She has done a few interviews recently to promote her guest spot. Here’s one that was filmed a couple weeks ago for ABC News Radio.

On tomorrow’s E! News, they will air their own exclusive interview with her, so make sure you watch for that, too! Don’t worry if you miss it, though. We’ll include it in our Glee 1×19 update later this week. And remember, tomorrow Volume 3 of the Glee soundtrack will be released, including 2 of Idina’s songs! Pre-order on iTunes today.

In more news of the exclusive variety, Idina will be giving Idina-Here an interview as well! Created by the fans, for the fans, members of LiveJournal community IdinaMenzelWorship contributed questions more than 2 years ago – yes, 2 years! – before I even started maintaining this site (or I would have asked for contributions here). That just goes to show you how busy she is! Anyway, it should be very enjoyable to read, considering she wasn’t asked how long it took to get green every night or if there’s ever going to be a Wicked movie – we all know the answers to those, right? I’m not sure when the interview will be ready to go, but she’s chipping away at it in what little free time she has these days. It might be days, weeks, or even months, but as soon as it’s complete, I’ll be sharing it!

Idina has added a 16th show to her 2010 symphony tour! She will be performing with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra on June 29 at Heinz Hall. Tickets are on sale now! Click to purchase!
