The Premiere Idina Menzel Resource
Thanks to mab2701, who has donated these incredible pictures, images have now been added to the Gallery of Idina (and her hot leopard-print dress) performing at G-A-Y Bar in London this past Saturday night. Idina made a special surprise appearance on the most recent episode of the BBC1 TV program, “I’d Do Anything” – a reality talent competition in the UK searching for new unknown leads of the upcoming West End revival of Oliver!. Since Idina has obviously been spending some time in London recently, she made a pit stop by the rehearsal studio to work with one of the “Nancy” contestants, Samantha Barks, who had picked none other than “Defying Gravity” as her song choice that week.
One awesome fan posted the video on YouTube, so even though it’s been a few days, I wanted to post it here. It’s short, but totally incredible! Can you imagine singing “Defying Gravity” for Idina to critique?? I don’t think I could do it!

“CHESS” AUDIO CLIPS ADDEDAs some of you may know, there are definitely some audio and video clips floating around the internet of Idina in the Chess Concert. While Idina-Here does not post fully illegal recordings, we do like to post snipets of songs for everyone to preview and enjoy (particularly those who didn’t get the chance to see it live.) That being said, thanks to a very skilled and generous person on the Idina Menzel Worship Live Journal page, I’ve been able to cut up short clips of several of Idina’s songs from the show. I still have to go through the less well-known songs, so more might be added, but these are the significant tracks from the show. TOWN HALL CONCERT IN NYC SCHEDULEDAnother new concert has been added to Idina’s busy schedule! This time, the show will take place on Wednesday, June 25 @ NYC’s Town Hall @ 8PM. This will be her first concert in NYC for the general public (as opposed to the PBS special concert), so this is a big deal for everyone in the area! Pre-sale tickets for Nokia customers go on sale 5/16 @ 10AM, and then for General buyers on 5/19 @ 12-noon. Don’t miss out! Click here for more information. In the interview, Idina discusses her most recent stage endeavor, Chess. Tonight was the premiere performance of the Chess concert in London, featuring Idina alongside Josh Groban, Kerry Ellis, and Idina’s Rent co-star, Adam Pascal. The show runs tonight and tomorrow night. Idina also reveals that her appearance at G-A-Y Bar this coming Saturday will begin at 1:00am, and she will be singing remixes of “Gorgeous” from her “I Stand” album, as well as her hit, “Defying Gravity.” Did anyone see tonight’s performance of Chess??
