IdinaMenzel.com has just posted information about a promotional appearance Idina will be making on February 2, 2008 @ the Borders Bookstore in her hometown of Syossett, New York! The event to promote the release of “I Stand” will take place at 2PM inside the store – for more information, call the store directly.

Also, today’s the last “Two for Tuesdays” update day, and a karaoke video, featuring the title track, “I Stand”, has been added to Idina’s official YouTube page. Give it a listen, and if you haven’t already, I encourage you to register at IdinaMenzel.com and the Idina Menzel Message Board for exclusive updates/information.

BIG NEWS! Finally, almost 4 years after it was filmed, Debra Kirschner’s independent film, The Tollbooth, featuring Idina, will be released on DVD on April 8, 2008! Debra sent the following message today to everyone on The Tollbooth mailing list:

I’m happy inform you – that the Tollbooth DVD will (FINALLY!) be available April 8, 2008. Peace Arch (who bought our distributor Castle Hill) will be releasing the dvd in the US and Canada. More info coming soon – about how to get copies and potential screenings or release parties.

This film is definitely something special – I saw it almost 3 years ago at the Calabasas Film Festival, and have been waiting for its release ever since. Definitely must give props to Ms. Kirschner, who has been working tirelessly to get this movie released on DVD. More information will be posted once it’s announced. Very exciting!

As promised, Idina showed up at NYC’s Splash Bar around 12:45AM to do some album promotion! They played her “Gorgeous” Remix for the crowd and she helped put on a “Defying Gravity” competition!
