Idina performed in the 82nd Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade earlier today. She looked great and sounded amazing! But don’t be fooled – every singer in the parade is required to lip synch due to technical limitations of having good sound outdoors on a moving parade whilst broadcasting it to television. It was a great way to bring Idina into the households of millions of families – I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t extremely proud of her today. hehe

It looks like a bit of a 2009 spring tour might be taking shape! Idina will be performing at the Tilles Center Concert Hall in Brookville, NY on March 28 at 8:00 pm. This marks Idina’s first solo concert in support of I Stand in her native Long Island!

Tickets prices range from $42 to $65 and can be purchased through Ticketmaster by clicking here, and go on sale to the public on Friday, December 12 at 1:00 pm EDT.

As previously reported, Idina will be performing at Syracuse University’s Goldstein Auditorium on March 19 at 8:00 pm. Idina’s show is SU’s Women’s History Month concert!

November 4 is election day in the US and Idina’s made her voice heard several times this season when it comes to everyone exercising their right to vote. She filmed a little reminder for everyone who can needs to get out and vote in the 2008 presidential election!

While she was in London last month, Idina recorded a duet with X-Factor runner-up Rhydian Roberts. The song is titled “What If” and will appear on Rhydian’s album which is released in the UK on 24 November. I do not know if it will have a US release, but it’s currently available for streaming as part of a broadcast on a BBC radio program.

Trivia: This song is actually a cover of a Kate Winslet (yes, really!) song that she recorded in 2001 for the soundtrack of Christmas Carol: The Movie. The single went to #1 in Ireland and #6 in the UK!
