NEW CONCERT ADDED

NEW CONCERT ADDED

Another concert has been added to Idina’s promotional tour schedule for “I Stand” — this time, she’s hitting the West Coast! The event will take place at Humphrey’s on June 20, 2008, and tickets will go on sale this coming Saturday! The venue holds approx. 1,400, which means this is a substantially larger gig than the previously announced concerts. So that means more fans will get the chance to go!

Tickets will be available to purchase from Humphrey’s official site. So if you can make this event, don’t miss out!

[ps. sadly, I won’t be able to make this because of a set-in-stone-trip to Europe this summer. haha, what is Europe compared to Idina?!? wink Hopefully, more will be scheduled soon.]

“ENCHANTED” DVD SCREEN CAPTURES + PBS SPECIAL

“ENCHANTED” DVD SCREEN CAPTURES + PBS SPECIAL

After a very long night, I finally finished capping Idina’s parts on the new Enchanted DVD! If you haven’t seen the film yet, PLEASE BE WARNED: the captures DO CONTAIN SPOILERS. If you don’t want to know parts of the ending, please don’t go through them. In all, I’ve added 238 HQ screencaps to the Gallery in the following albums: Feature Film (x203), Deleted Scenes (x17), and Bloopers (x18). You can also access the main Enchanted Gallery by clicking below.

I got this confirmed by Idina’s management, and it’s now been officially confirmed by IdinaMenzel.com — Idina will be performing a concert on April 14th at the Rose Hall Theatre in New York City, which will be recorded and broadcast on U.S. television channel, PBS, for the ‘PBS Soundstage’ series. Tickets are NOT available to purchase, but will hopefully open up to a handful of fans through Idina’s official site, so keep an eye out by checking back. The event is “invite-only”, but Idina DOES want her fans to be there! So she is making sure those in the area will have a chance to attend. Should be pretty incredible, and hopefully many of you will get the chance!

“ENCHANTED” ON DVD AVAILABLE NOW

“ENCHANTED” ON DVD AVAILABLE NOW

Idina’s recent Disney film, the live-action/animated musical, Enchanted, is now available on DVD! This DVD can be found and purchased wherever movies are sold, so if you’re in the U.S., you shouldn’t have any trouble finding it at a store near you. For those international fans, I’m not sure if it’s been released in other regions – does anyone know and would like to share with everyone? wassat

You can also PURCHASE the DVD online at Amazon.com. If you didn’t see this movie while it was in theaters, you definitely MUST see it now! Too cute for words, and Idina makes several appearances on the “blooper reel” in the Special Features. Unfortunately, the song Idina recorded for the film – which was cut – didn’t make it on. Hopefully we’ll see it eventually.

Screencaps of the film and all the special features will be added shortly.

PRE-ORDER “THE TOLLBOOTH” ON AMAZON.COM

PRE-ORDER “THE TOLLBOOTH” ON AMAZON.COM

Nearly four years after it was filmed, Debra Kirschner’s independent film, The Tollbooth, is set to be released on DVD. Beginning today, you can order the DVD off of Amazon.com for the LOW PRICE of $9.99 $14.99 $12.99! (edit: price change)

The Tollbooth tells the coming-of-age story of a trio of adult sisters from a traditional Jewish-American family. It focuses on the youngest girl, Sarabeth (Marla Sokoloff), as she deals with going against her parents’ wishes to follow her dreams. Idina co-stars as Sarabeth’s older and more tradition-abiding sister, Raquel. Rob McElhenney, Liz Stauber, and Tovah Feldshuh also star.

I know most fans didn’t get the opportunity to see this film while it made its way through the small festival circuit, but I was lucky enough to catch a screening nearly 3 years ago — and it’s definitely an Idina performance not to be missed! Support this film by purchasing the DVD today! The film will be officially released on April 8, 2008.

Note: Idina even gets SECOND BILLING on the DVD cover-art! Pretty great news. wassat
