We all know Idina adored London while she was there doing Wicked, so it makes sense that she’d want to venture over there again to get the word out about her album (even before the Chess concert in May!) It is very frustrating for me to hear that you often have difficulty getting music and fun stuff, but i want to assure you that i have not forgotten about you. The logistics internationally are a little tricky but everyone at the label knows how important it is for me to connect with my friends outside of the US. They completely support it. In fact, they are taking extra special time to make sure it is done properly; which is why sometimes you feel like things are late. I PROMISE i’m comin’ over! They wont be able to stop me! Don’t hesitate to let the label know when you are not getting things. They appreciate the enthusiasm. Believe me.

Final plans might still be in the works, but it’s nice to know that she’s trying hard to make a stop. So keep your eyes peeled for further news about international promotion appearances!

In other news, Idina’s been scheduled to appear as a special performer at the HRC Greater NY Gala 2008 on February 23, 2008, which will be held this year at the Hilton New York. The Gala is honoring Vanessa Williams, and will feature performances by different artists, Idina included. The event is “black tie”, and tickets are pretty pricey, but there are opportunities to volunteer, if you are willing and able. Click here for full details.

I’ve just finished uploading Idina’s appearance this morning on the Los Angeles morning news show, “Good Day LA”! They didn’t talk a whole lot about “I Stand”, her new album, but they DID talk a lot about Wicked, and even gave Idina the chance to act as news anchor! Very cute (with a little cameo by Food Network superstar, Paula Dean), so definitely check out the download in the Video Archive, or visit the IdinaHeredotcom YouTube channel! (the direct download, however, is much better quality – obviously.)

Idina appeared this morning on Chicago’s 93.9 Lite FM Radio as guest host and later as the honored guest of another Win Breakfast with Idina contest (winners chosen by their submission of stories about past experiences being “brave”.) Images from the event, courtesy of 93.9 Lite FM, have been added to the Gallery, and can be viewed by clicking on the thumbnails below.

Thanks to Melanie, an audio download of the appearance has been added to the Audio Interviews page! The commercials and other stuff is still in there, but hopefully I’ll be updating it later on without the excess, non-Idina related junk. BIG DAY! Idina’s brand new music video for her first single, “Brave”, has premiered on AOL Music! I think the video is beautiful, with a cool and creative concept. That dress she’s wearing is definitely impressive! So don’t miss it – check it out by visiting AOL Music right now. You can also view the video on YouTube (I was gonna wait, but it was already starting to appear elsewhere, so I decided to just jump on it.) A direct download will not be added right now, out of respect for WBR’s promotional plan, but will likely be added in the future.
