Idina performed with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra on June 17. She debuted three new (as in, she’s never performed them live before) songs at this show! I won’t list them here, so as to not spoil the surprise for anyone, but they are discussed in the reviews. Here is a collection of media for your viewing and reading pleasure:

Tickets to Idina’s remaining shows are selling fast, so if you’re considering attending (and I recommend you do if it’s at all possible!), make sure you purchase ASAP. Links to purchase tickets are in the sidebar for quick and easy access.
Idina has partnered with Bundled in Hope campaign, organized by Save the Children, on a project dedicated to providing blankets for babies and young children in the US, designing a baby blanket to be auctioned on eBay with the proceeds going to support the charities efforts. If you would like to bid on Idina’s blanket to support the cause, simply click on the blanket’s photo below. The auction ends June 22, so get your bids in!
The 64th Annual American Theatre Wing’s Tony Awards were earlier tonight, and Idina was in attendance as a presenter. She introduced the performance for nominated musical Ragtime, and brought her mother Helene as her guest as Taye is currently out of the country. Idina has added a number of new concerts to her 2010 tour! The three new cities she’s hitting include Cincinnati, OH, Red Bank, NJ, and West Palm Beach, FL. The dates are as follows:
September 24 – Cincinnati, OH – Cincinnati Music Hall (Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra)
September 25 – Cincinnati, OH – Cincinnati Music Hall (Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra)
September 26 – Cincinnati, OH – Cincinnati Music Hall (Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra)
October 12 – Red Bank, NJ – Count Basie Theater (New Jersey Symphony)
December 17 – West Palm Beach, FL – Kravis Center for the Perf. Arts (Palm Beach Pops)
The Cincinnati dates are the opening weekend for the CSO’s season. Idina has replaced Bernadette Peters (Peters will be on Broadway at the time) for these performances. Tickets for Cincinnati go on sale August 11; more info is available here.
The Red Bank event is in conjunction with their annual gala, and ticketing information is not yet available. Ticketing for West Palm Beach is not available at this time, either.
