Cinderella promo is gearing up ahead of its release on September 3! It will be released on Amazon Prime and in select theaters.  The soundtrack will also be available on Friday and is available for pre-order now.

Idina Menzel worked on the press junket with Camila Cabello over the weekend and interviews are already being posted! I’ve created a Youtube playlist to make it easier to keep track of interviews but I am also posting links on Twitter as I come across them. Idina also made a special appearance on Camila’s TikTok.

Idina, Camilla, Billy Porter and James Corden also filmed Crosswalk the Musical in Los Angeles on Friday. An air date has not been announced yet, but stay tuned. Photos are in  the gallery:

Wicked in Concert on PBS

If you missed Idina co-hosting Wicked in Concert on PBS, it is now available for free streaming on PBS.org! Idina co-hosted the concert with Kristin Chenoweth and though they performed ‘For Good’, it was their ‘Out of Oz’ performance from 2016. The concert featured re-imagined musical arrangements performed by artists like Ben Platt, Amber Riley, Alex Newell, Ariana DeBose, Jennifer Nettles, Sara Bareilles and more.

Idina Co-Hosting Wicked in Concert on PBS

Idina Menzel will reunite with Kristin Chenoweth to co-host Wicked in Concert: A Musical Celebration of the Iconic Broadway Score, a reimagining of the hit musical in an intimate concert setting! Wicked in Concert will feature re-imagined musical arrangements performed by artists like Ben Platt, Amber Riley, Alex Newell, Ariana DeBose, Jennifer Nettles, Sara Bareilles and more. No word yet if Idina will sing as well, but hopefully she will!

The concert was filmed in multiple locations, including Washington, D.C., Los Angeles, and New York City. The orchestra arrangements were created by Luke Frazier with members of the American Pops Orchestra. Tune in Sunday, August 29 at 9 p.m. on PBS, PBS.org, and the PBS Video App.

The official trailer for Cinderella has premiered! Watch above to get a few peeks of Idina in the role of the Stepmother! In this updated take on the classic movie, she is not going to be the evil Stepmother, so we’ll see how that plays out! You can also see the official poster below and in the gallery!

Cinderella is a musically-driven bold new take on the traditional story you grew up with. Our heroine (Camila Cabello) is an ambitious young woman whose dreams are bigger than the world will allow, but with the help of her Fab G (Billy Porter), she is able to persevere and make her dreams come true.

Written for the screen and directed by Kay Cannon with covers of songs written by some of the top-selling musical artists of all time, Cinderella has an all-star cast that includes Idina Menzel, Minnie Driver, Nicholas Galitzine, with Billy Porter and Pierce Brosnan.

Idina Performs at 92nd Annual Academy Awards!

Idina Menzel attended and performed at the 92nd Annual Academy Awards yesterday! Idina performed FROZEN II’s “Into The Unknown” with Aurora and nine international Elsas in a beautiful performance! Idina and the Elsas also spoke with Good Morning America on Saturday to tease the performance which was introduced by Josh Gad.  Josh was great, saying: “The iconic and brilliant Idina Menzel, pronounced exactly as it is spelled.”

As if that weren’t enough, would it be an Idina Oscars without a viral moment? Idina’s face while Eminem performed “Lose Yourself” launched memes and articles, but this is my personal favorite.

Utkarsh Ambudkar also mentioned Idina in a rap and her reaction was priceless:
