Congratulations, Idina! Drama Desk Award nominations were announced this morning to honor the best of the past year on and Off Broadway, and Idina’s show See What I Wanna See has walked away with 9 nominations, including one for Idina as Outstanding Actress in a Musical! Broadway.com has posted a huge slew of images from the show and from the after-party of Rent 10, and I have saved all the Idina images to the Gallery (with the help of several girls at So Beautiful.) To view the pictures, click on the link below.

Small update today. Thanks to Connie, I have gotten several new HQ/High Quality Images, and have added them to the Gallery. Most of them are just untagged LARGE versions of several of the pictures that are already on the site, but I assure you, these are worth taking a look at!

Several images have been added to the Gallery from this past night’s Rent 10 anniversary benefit concert! The entire original Broadway cast was there to perform the show, as well as almost ALL of the later cast members, and the whole show was performed (sans some costumes, etc.) — More pictures from the After Party are coming soon, and I’ll try to add as much as I can over the next few days as they come to me. So be sure to keep checking back!

Rumors came, and now they’re confirmed! Idina has been persuaded to open the role of Elphaba in London’s West End premiere of Wicked, beginning September 7, 2006 at the Apollo Victoria Theatre for a limited engagement! Previews begin on September 7th, with the opening scheduled for the 27th. The end of her run has not been announced, but it is likely to be a short stint, after which she’ll be replaced by a British performer. This is very exciting news for our Idina friends across the pond, and what a treat that the London theatre community will be exposed to her talent first-hand! This will likely be an incredibly sold out run, so be ready if you plan to go!

Nominations for the 2006 Drama League Awards have been announced, and Idina is among the list of performers to be honored at the ceremony!
