Idina has added a 16th show to her 2010 symphony tour! She will be performing with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra on June 29 at Heinz Hall. Tickets are on sale now! Click to purchase!


In Glee news, Target’s website has posted different previews of the Volume 3 soundtrack than were previously released. Visit the album’s page to hear IDINA singing “I Dreamed a Dream” (rather than yesterday’s Lea-only preview).

And lastly, Idina & Taye attended this week’s American Idol on performance night. I know a number of you spotted them in the background seated behind Ellen DeGeneres, but here’s a nice photo that was taken at the show. Click on it for HQ.

The wait is almost over! Next week, Idina returns to Glee as Shelby Corcoran, coach of Vocal Adrenaline…and maybe something more? Watch the promo (sans Idina) below! Neil Patrick Harris and Molly Shannon also guest star. Idina will appear in each of the remaining four episodes of the season.


The song previews for Idina’s next two episodes have also been released. Below you can listen to “I Dreamed a Dream” (which is apparently a duet with Lea Michele, as the clip features only Lea’s voice) and “Poker Face.” Enjoy!!

The third installment of Glee‘s highly successful soundtrack will be released May 18 as a regular release an extended deluxe edition. A fun fact that was revealed in a new interview with Idina while in Boston for a 3-night stand with the Boston Pops, which you can read here, is that Idina actually sings a third song on the hit show, an unnamed Barbra Streisand song! Exciting. You can read a second Boston interview here.

Idina’s 2010 Symphony Tour officially kicked off last weekend in Jacksonville, Florida and lots of great photos from the show have been added to the Gallery. I’ll continue to add photos to the touring album throughout the year as photos are found, so check in now and then to see if there are updates. Super awesome updates will be announced on our Twitter. East coast blogger Jeannie of AtlanticBeachLife.com and her colleague Nick Lulli were the only press allowed backstage to interview Idina. She posted a great summary of the show on her blog (linked above) and was nice enough to allow her photos added to our gallery. You can watch Nick’s interview with Idina on YouTube.

Idina has returned to New York in preparation of her upcoming shows in Boston, and has been doing a miniature media circuit promoting her symphony tour and her participation in Glee.

It’s also been reported that creator Ryan Murphy has confirmed Idina will be singing in the episode that features a Lady Gaga theme. Murphy stated, “Lea [Michele] and Idina Menzel will do an acoustic version of ‘Poker Face’ that [Lady Gaga] blessed and that she wanted us to do. It’s sort of like a stripped-down mother-daughter ‘Poker Face’ that Lady Gaga was involved in.” Idina will also be performing “I Dreamed A Dream” from Les Miserables. when the show returns! Intriguing!
