Disney shared a behind the scenes video of the “Once Upon a Studio” voice actors in the studio! In the short, an all-star ensemble of beloved characters from Walt Disney Animation Studios assemble for a spectacular group photo to mark Disney’s 100th anniversary. The behind the scenes clip above shows Idina Menzel and her Frozen castmates, Kristen Bell and Jonathan Groff recording their lines. If you missed the short’s TV premiere recently, it’s streaming on Disney+ and will also be shown in theaters ahead of the animated film “Wish” in November.

Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth reunited for a new photoshoot and interview with New York Magazine. Their feature is in the October 23 edition of the magazine and is also available to read online on Vulture.com!
There’s something familiar about watching Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth have a conversation — the way that one of them tends to be a bubbling extrovert, the other more introspective but observant and ready with a joke. After a long day in workshops for their respective musical projects, the two of them slip into the familiar language of longtime collaborators, with inside jokes and catch-ups. You may have seen it onstage before, in a musical called Wicked.

Disney has released a trailer for the upcoming short film, Once Upon A Studio, that celebrates 100 years of Disney! The new short features 543 Disney characters, including Idina Menzel’s Elsa and Kristen Bell’s Anna. You can get a quick peek at them in the trailer above!

Featuring 543 Disney characters from more than 85 feature-length and short films, “Once Upon a Studio” welcomes heroes and villains, princes and princesses, sidekicks and sorcerers—in all-new hand-drawn and CG animation—to celebrate 10 decades of storytelling, artistry and technological achievements. The short film features new recordings from the original voice actors (like Idina), as well as archival footage from others. Once Upon A Studio premieres on ABC during The Wonderful World of Disney: Disney’s 100th Anniversary Celebration! on October 15 at 8/7c.. It will premiere theatrically on November 22 ahead of the new animated Disney film Wish.
Idina Menzel and Cara Mentzel went on what must’ve been an exhausting promo tour to promote PROUD MOUSE last week. They appeared on The View, spoke with D23 and visited many many book stores and schools in New York, New Jersey, Georgia, Florida, Texas, Illinois and California! I added some photos to the gallery:

On a related note, Idina and Cara both signed an open letter condemning book bans and calling for an end to this oppressive attack on artistic freedom:
