Idina Menzel went live on Facebook Sunday to perform “Queen of Swords” a song from her upcoming album, idina. It definitely sounds like an anthem! I love it!
Idina was joined by girls from Camp BroaderWay. As I’m sure you all know, A Broader Way Foundation was created by Idina and is dedicated to offering girls from urban communities an outlet for self-expression and creativity through arts-centered programs.
Idina Menzel announced her new album on Facebook Live last night! The album, called idina., will be released on September 23! Idina also debuted a new song, I See You, which is beautiful. Idina Menzel has signed on to star in a remake of Beaches for Lifetime! The original Beaches starred Bette Midler and Barbara Hershey and featured the classic song “Wind Beneath My Wings”. Idina will play CC, a cynical aspiring singer who develops a lifelong friendship with a debutante named Hillary at the Venice boardwalk in Los Angeles.
Per EW, the movie is expected to feature new takes on “Wind Beneath My Wings” and “The Glory of Love” and include several other songs recorded specifically for the movie!
Production on the remake will begin Aug. 15 in Vancouver and the movie will premiere on Lifetime in 2017.
