With that, I have added the “Weekend Today” video (thanks to Carly, again!), which Idina appeared on yesterday alongside Salma Hayek. That can be found at the bottom of the Television Videos Page.

Idina gave an interview with UGO.com about her role in Ask the Dust, and she spoke about her upcoming role in Enchanted with Amy Adams – she cleared up quite a bit about her characters role in the film (warning: may include spoilers):

“At the end of April I’m doing this movie called Enchanted with Amy Adams. It’s a big Disney movie. It starts with eight minutes of animation, where Amy is this princess and James Marsden is the prince. Susan Sarandon, who’s the stepmother/queen, doesn’t want her marrying James Marsden, so she pushes her down this well and she ends up in Times Square and it becomes real life. There she learns about real life and she meets Patrick Dempsey, who’s this single Dad who’s engaged to me. I’m this New York fashion designer who ends up going to the fairytale world. I ended up getting fitted with the glass slipper and walk back to the animated world while she stays here and becomes much more grounded and realizes life is tough but that’s true love. In the animated world I’m with James Marsden and I sing a little song with him, written by Steven Schwartz, who wrote Wicked. Then I throw my Blackberry away at the ceremony because we’re cartoon characters.” (Click here to read the rest of the interview)

Sounds amazing! Filming begins on Enchanted this coming April in New York City.

So I’m dumb and messed up taping “Regis & Kelly” this morning, but THANKFULLY I’ll be getting it later today. In the meantime, I HAVE uploaded Idina’s appearance on “MTV Hits” from earlier to the Television Videos Page! They were both fantastic interviews, lots of fun questions and promo stuff I promise “Regis & Kelly” will be up by tonight – So please enjoy! You may also notice after downloading the video that I’ve tagged it to credit this site. I understand the videos get around (particularly on sites like YouTube) and while there’s nothing I can do about it, I still feel this site should be credited for taking the time to upload them. But don’t worry! The tag doesn’t obstruct seeing the beautiful Idina! — I’ve also gotten word that Idina’s appearance on “Weekend Today” has been MOVED to Saturday morning! That’s when they have her listed to appear. I’ll be sure to tape it, just in case.

I know that after yesterday, there was a lot of confusion with Idina’s appearance on CBS’ “The Early Show” – It turns out they pushed the interview back to air this morning, and thankfully I was keepin’ track of the news early enough to get up to record it! So I have just added the video clip of Idina on “The Early Show” to the Television Videos Page (scroll down all the way.) Reminder: Please check the sidebar for any more information about upcoming appearances! Hopefully no more last-minute changes will occur.

The Original Off-Broadway Cast Recording of Idina’s latest stage show, See What I Wanna See, has officially been released for purchase. It should be available at local CD retailers, and it can also be ordered from Amazon.com or from the distributer, GhostlightRecords.com. I have also removed the SWIWS audio clips from this site – I said before that once the album was released today, I would take them off, and I have. I encourage all of you to go and buy the album, it is truly amazing!

As proof of that, Broadway.com has posted an incredible Behind the Scenes video of the cast of See What I Wanna See recording the album last fall in the studio! Just added to Idina’s Official Site: She will be appearing on the NBC weekend talk show “Weekend Today” on Sunday, March 12th! Another TV apperance to look forward to, and remember, I will be posting the video clip after it airs.
