Just a small news update today: Playbill.com featured a PHOTO CALL news update about Idina throwing a party to celebrate her London Wicked castmates, taking a break from their rigorous rehearsal schedule. Several photos are featured, including 2 of Idina sporting her beautiful new haircut. Check out the article at Playbill.com.

Also, I’ve gotten word that Gay Times in the UK is going to feature an article on Wicked in their upcoming issue. I haven’t found out if it will feature anything extensive on Idina, but I’ll let you know if I hear anything. The magazine, though a UK publication, is also sold in the U.S. at select retailers. In other London press news, Idina was featured in a 3-page spread in the UK Telegraph Magazine (Saturday edition) – The issue is dated 8/19/06, and features beautiful images from a photo shoot by Grant Delin that was done back in 2004 in NYC.

The scans from the magazine have been added to the Gallery, as well as a gorgeous outtake from the Grant Delin photoshoot that I found. Also, I’ve added a handful of HQ images that I just received from Cassie, some replacing old watermarked images. More photos will be added once I have the opportunity to tag them.

For all Idina’s UK fans: I’ve been notified that Idina will be heading over to London’s Channel 4 TV Talk Show, “Richard & Judy”, tomorrow morning to do a live interview! The show airs weekdays from 5pm-6pm in the UK, though I’m not positive that the shows recorded in the morning are the ones aired that night. (If anyone has any info on that, please let us know.) Regardless, Idina will be on, so those in the UK, get your VCRs ready to record! The “Richard & Judy” Official Site doesn’t have her listed, but I have it confirmed she’s going to the studio tomorrow morning for sure.

For the rest of us not in England, I’m being sent a recording of the show by Charlotte, who will be providing me Idina’s London press appearances over the next few months. So hopefully, if a video doesn’t show up sooner, I’ll have that for everyone to download eventually.

Thanks to Sara, I’ve added a complete (1:40 min) and perfect quality video of the previously added “Extra!” video segment. It’s the entire Enchanted segment, which also interviews Idina’s co-star Patrick Dempsey briefly. The video is in Windows Media format, this time, not Quicktime (sorry folks.) But it’s much better, and definitely a must see! It’s on the Television Videos Page at the bottom.

Sorry for being MIA lately, everyone — a small handful of Idina-related things have piled up, and I thought I’d wait until I could have some more things for you all. I’ve also been pretty busy preparing to return to school.

I’ve added a video to the site, which is a recent appearance by Idina on the entertainment news show “Extra!”, where she was interviewed about her upcoming film Enchanted. She is even in full costume (a gorgeous gown!). It’s very short, and since I didn’t know about it until afterwards, I only have a bad quality vid that someone recorded on their camera that cuts off too soon . Until I can get a better one (anyone out there have it?), this is all I have, but it’s still very enjoyable. I credit Nessa for getting it to me and making it downloadable (thanks, sweetheart!), and it can be found on the Television Videos Page.

The Times in the UK has published a new article about Wicked in London, and Idina has been featured in the interview. The link can be found on the Times website here. If anyone has a scan of the actual magazine/newspaper, I’d love to add it to the new London Scans Album I’ve created in the Gallery for all the articles being released.

The site is going to be on a week-long hiatus, because I will be gone on vacation until Saturday, August 12th — Since Idina is in the middle of rehearsals, there probably won’t be any huge developments, but if you’re desperate for the possibility of new info, the So Beautiful Message Board is a great place to look. The comments section with remain active, but I won’t be here to monitor/edit anything (or answer questions), so please be respectful of each other and avoid spamming with unnecessary comments.

Quick Idina News:
#1: According to British theatre site, TheStage.co.uk, a benefit Gala to preview Wicked in the West End will take place on September 19th, hosted by Sharon Osbourne to benefit the Elton John AIDS Foundation. Great cause and I’m sure the event will be wonderful!
#2: There’s a great mention of Idina by fellow London cast-mate, Martin Ball (the newest Dr. Dillamond), in his online Diary about the rehearsal process of the show. Click here to view the entry, titled “Martin’s Diary: The first day”. In reference to Idina, he states:
