Glee News & Miami Concert

Glee News & Miami Concert

Lots of Glee spoilers have been going around lately….

From Yahoo News:

Rachel will reunite with mom Shelby (Idina Menzel) — sorta. Shelby’s got a new gig as a teacher at WMHS who arrives in Episode 2. Murphy said she’ll be involved be a “juicy” story with Quinn (Dianna Agron)… who, by the way, has a whole new look and group of friends this year. (We know you’ve already seen the pink hair.)

Gather.com:

According to TVGuide, Shelby (Idina Menzel) has a “juicy” arc coming up with Quinn, the mother of her adopted daughter. Will Beth play a role? That seems very likely, and perhaps that could be what gets Quinn back with New Directions (she quits and dyes her hair pink, getting with some new friends). It sounds like it’s not just Rachel who will be affected by Shelby showing up at McKinley High for multiple episodes. Will Quinn sing with Shelby as well, or will Rachel be the only one she duets with?

And there are many, many rumors that this song listed on Amazon will be a song she is singing with Lea.  We shall see!  Her first episode will not be the premiere, but the second episode of the season.

If you’re going to the Miami concert, presale begins now until September 18th when public onsale begins.  You can get the link and code from IdinaMenzel.com

If you enjoy this site, please consider clicking on the button below to donate to our hosting fees fund.  Even a dollar or two can make a big difference!  You can also see more information on the donation page.  And remember, any money you donate goes directly to the hosting fees, and not to me!

Also, don’t forget — Idina can be seen on the Biography channel special, “When Pop Culture Saved America,” airring September 11th at 8pm ET.  Check your local listings for when it’s airing in your area.  And if you do not receive the Biography channel, you can view it on Hulu for the next few days only!

TV Appearance!

TV Appearance!

In case you missed the last minute announcement the other night, Idina gives a short, yet also beautifully moving, interview on the tv special “When Pop Culture Saved America” on the Biography channel.  It reairs on September 11th at 8pm ET, as well as midnight September 12th.   Here’s the official description:
“In the aftermath of 9/11, getting back to normal would not be a simple task,” according to production notes. “For those in the world of pop culture and entertainment, the challenge was how to help America achieve that goal–to cheer the country up during its darkest days. This documentary takes a comprehensive look at the days and months following the attack–to show how the non-news media pitched in to bring the nation together. Comedians, singers, actors, entertainers all did their part with concerts, telethons and specials. Television, movies, Broadway, music and even sports helped bring us back to the new normal. We’ll also review the impact of the events of 9/11 on pop culture and how TV and films were changed forever.”

Check your local listings for when it’s airing in your area.  And if you do not receive the Biography channel, you can view it on Hulu for the next five days only!

New Site Feature!

New Site Feature!

I am so happy to finally announce a new feature for Idina-Here!  The site now has a Press Archive, where all of Idina’s interviews, reviews, and articles can be found in one place!  All entries are tagged so you can choose to read about the Still I Can’t Be Still days or when she talks about Glee.  Also, the page is searchable.  How many times have you thought about when Idina has talked about the meaning of “Minuet” but couldn’t find an article?  Now you can!  Click on the image in the sidebar to visit the new archive and check it out.  The Fan Corner link will be moved and repositioned somewhere else soon.

There are still a TON of articles that need to be added to the archive, but I wanted to go ahead and share it.  I’ll be working on adding more interviews and articles from the past, and when new articles are published, I’ll be adding them as well.  If you have any problems or suggestions, please contact me and let me know!

And a HUGE THANK YOU to Flor over at Sweet Revelations!  I couldn’t have done this without her!  If you run a website and need a new design, contact Flor for an amazing design.

Idina-Here has been and will be undergoing some changes.  I love working on this site and am always open to suggestions for improvement.  While things are sort of slow, I’ll be giving some pages a face-lift and of course, continuously adding new articles and interviews to the new Press Archive and new pictures to the Gallery. I’d also love to hear from you on a few things if you would please participate in a little poll.  This will help me focus on what you want and what I should work on first.

In addition to all of the exciting things going on with the site, it is now time for Idina-Here to run another donation drive to pay our hosting fees. Between the extensive gallery, the new press archive to keep a record of all of the fun interviews and reviews Idina has done, and much more, Idina-Here strives to be the ultimate fan resource for everyone.

However, it’s unfortunately not free to host the site. I ask that if you enjoy the site to please consider donating to help keep it going. This site averages almost 200 visits per day and just one dollar from everyone can cover the fees for more than a year. Please see the donation page for more information, or you can click on the button below to go directly to the page to make a donation now. And please note that the money you donate does not go to me. It goes directly to DreamHost for the hosting fees. I do not take any money for running the site. I do it all for free and for my love of Idina!

We’ll also review the impact of the events of 9/11 on pop culture and how TV and films were changed forever.
